How it works
How a handyman visit works
How a handyman visit works with The Little Job Co. is simple: you make a list, we read it properly, agree the work and price with you, then tick off as much as we can in one visit.

The idea
Small jobs are easier in a batch
Most homes have a short list of jobs that never quite get done: a shelf, a sticking door, a curtain pole still in its box. On their own they are hard to book. Together they make a sensible visit.
So we start with your list rather than a single job, read it properly before we arrive and bring what it needs. The aim is to leave with every line ticked.

From your list to a plan.
Step 1: Make your list
Write down everything, however small.
Room by room works well. A wobbly handle and a shelf in the same room are one visit, not two.
Step 2: Share the details
Photos and your postcode help.
A photo of each job, the product link for anything flat-pack and rough measurements for poles and blinds.
Step 3: Agree the work
Discuss the scope and quote.
We reply within one working day, say what is included and what is not, and give a price for the whole list.
Step 4: Arrange a visit
Find a suitable time together.
We book a slot that fits your week and bring the fixings and tools the list needs.
What we do
Six everyday jobs
Jobs for a specialist
We keep to small, practical jobs. If something on your list needs a qualified or registered trade, we will tell you plainly:
- Gas appliances and pipework (a Gas Safe registered engineer, by law)
- New sockets, lights or wiring (a qualified electrician)
- New plumbing, radiators or bathrooms (a plumber)
- Roofs, chimneys and damp (a roofer or surveyor)
Our promises
Looked after, start to finish
Dust sheets down before drilling, a detector check for cables and pipes, and the room left as we found it, minus the jobs. Every visit is fully insured, and our workmanship carries a 12-month guarantee.
- Fully insured£2m public liability
- 12-month guaranteeOn our workmanship
- No call-out feeFree quotes for any list
Useful to have to hand
- Photos of each job, close up and from across the room
- Product names or links for anything flat-pack
- Rough measurements for poles, blinds and shelves
- Your choice of paint, handles or fixings, if you have one
- Where to park, and any access notes for flats
“Filled every hole from the old shelves, touched up the hallway and refitted a loose skirting board. The flat looked ready to let.”
